The Game's Fifth Album to be called "Jesus Piece"

The Game

In a new interview with XXL, Game has announced the title of his fifth studio album F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution.

“The meaning behind that is like—me as a rapper, you as a journalist, Kobe as a basketball player—you gotta be afraid to do something, or have those butterflies in your stomach,” he explained about the title. “We all get that feeling. Before you did your first interview, you probably was like, ‘Damn, I don’t want to ask the wrong questions. I want to do this right.’ Me, before I wrote my first rap, or the first time I was in the booth. Fear. But then fear is victory’s evolution. After a while, you become a dope journalist, I become a dope rapper, Kobe is Kobe. You achieve and you pass over that fear. Now it ain’t fear; it’s just victory. It’s victory of all.”

Game also hints at leaving Interscope after this album:

“Jimmy Iovine is, shit, probably weeks out from opening the budget for my fifth album,” the Compton native said. “And then once I do this F.I.V.E. album, it might be a wrap. We’ll see. I know somebody going to give me some millions before I do anything. I see myself getting a lot of money to carry out the remaining time in my career. It don’t really matter where it’s at—it’s just the imprint on the back of the album.”

Rep's for the label have confirmed an all-star cast of rappers have lined up to support Travis Barker's inaugural debut, which will land in stores on March 15th, 2011.

Exclusive Travis Porter Speaks on Success, New LP 'Porterland'

Travis Porter

Atlanta-based trio Travis Porter recently sat down to speak with AllHipHop.com about the group’s recent success and their hit song “Make it Rain.”

The track shot up the Billboard charts,  reaching as high as #14 on the Rap/Hip-Hop charts and #100 on the Hot 100.

Additionally, Florida rappers Rick Ross and T-Pain made popular remixes of the song, and while no official remix has been released yet, the group seems to be happy with how the Hip-Hop community has embraced their recent hit.

“The song is Top 20, Top 15, we felt that feeling before, because when we dropped ‘All The Way Turnt Up’, that thing went crazy in a matter of months,” group member Quez explained to AllHipHop.com. “So we are used to feeling the hype. It feels good to go to people’s states and being able to take n****s b*****s and s**t."

“Remix hasn’t dropped yet, but I f**k wit Rick Ross verse,” Quez continued. “It feels good to feel people diggin yo’ s**t and feeling it, something that you made and having your verses heard by big names.”

Travis Porter announced a major deal with Jive Records in November of 2010, after a long independent grind. They said the trials and tribulations that came with being independent prepared them for their major label deal.

“Its really not a process, its just like, you grind and you doing your job,” Travis Porter group member Lakeem told AllHipHop.com. “Since you got signed, you got that push. It don’t stop though, just since you get signed. You get the bigger push, that bigger look. It’s like radio, and radio costs.”

The group is now working on their latest mixtape project, titled Music, Money and Magnums, the group is looking to build a buzz before their official album, Porterland drops.

“Your grind don’t stop when you signed, its like the whole world's eyes is on you,” group member Strap told AllHipHop.com. “We bout to shoot the 'Bring it Back' video, we have the mixtape coming out 2.2.11, Music Money Magnums with Tek [DJ Teknikz], [DJ] Scream, [DJ] Drama. We working.”
