The second annual Rick Ross Be Out Day charity event was interrupted by gunfire yesterday in Miami Gardens, Florida.

According to reports, an argument across the street from the fundraiser escalated and approximately 10 to 12 shots were fired into the air causing chaos to what was supposed to be a day of positivity. Rick Ross brushed off the incident as business as usual in the inner city neighborhood.

“It??s another day in the city, I??m a keep it real,” Ross told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times. “I feel like all the kids came and they left safe. Some dudes had a squabble on the side of the road and whatever happened happened, but other than that, all the kids got to see Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Brisco and we all had a good time.”

In addition to providing kids with entertainment, Rick Ross Charities also distributed over 2,000 backpacks to local children, registered people to vote and provided free HIV/Aids testing.

Ross considers the event to be a success and plans to continue to help his community.

“Oh I??m a do it every year,?? he said. ??You gotta be a leader. You gotta stand for something and represent for something and that??s what the kids need to see to get motivated to do bigger and better things in their own lives.”

The Miami Gardens Police Department apprehended one of the suspected shooters immediately following the incident. The other remains at large.

As of press time no one was reported to be injured by the shots.
