A mass of action athletes — skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers — are coming to Seattle’s KeyArena next week for the LG Action Sports World Championships, Friday, Oct. 31-Sunday, Nov. 2.But before they get down to the serious business of thrashing at the Key for money, they’ll put on a gravity-defying show for the kids.
Renton’s Skatebarn West will welcome some of the competitors for a show on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in front of an audience of children from the Seattle-based Treehouse organization, which provides a variety of resources for foster children. Skatebarn West, at 2900 Lind Ave. S.W. in Renton, is the Northwest’s largest indoor skatepark.
The athletes will also be signing autographs at the kickoff event, starting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Game and 50 Cent Callabo Soon?
October 22, 2008
There are rumors abound that Busta Rhymes has managed to get 50 Cent and The Game on the same record for his album. How? Well, there is a pre-existing song that features 50 Cent. Busta convinced The Game to do a song for a remix of said record. Well, 50 Cent gave his permission to appear on the remix with The Game for the promo value for his own record, Before I Self Destruct. I heard it is going to hit the net really soon. Stay tuned.

Judge to Game: I’ll Kill Funeral Fight Charges If..
September 30, 2008
The Game can put criminal battery charges away forever — if he’ll just learn to put a leash on his temper.
TMZ was in court today when a judge agreed to dismiss Game’s battery charges — for allegedly punching a cousin at a family funeral — as long as he does 36 anger-management meetings by February 2009. He could’ve faced clink time if convicted.
The tiff was over money, you’ll remember, and Game’s relative dropped the dime on him at the funeral and made a citizen’s arrest … even before the body was in the ground.
Nas Says Game Inspires Him To “Keep Writing,” Speaks On New Single..
September 27, 2008
With his video for the hustler’s anthem, “Make The World Go Round” hitting rotation soon, SOHH spoke with famed Queens rapper Nas during a conference call to talk about the new single and his chemistry with West Coast powerhouse The Game.
“Make the World Go Round,” Nas’ second single off his self-titled album is an ode to all of the people across the world who are getting money. Nas admits that he didn’t have to look far to come up with the concept for his new single.
“Look at what’s going on,” Nas said during a conference call. “People with power they gonna to do everything to keep that power, to keep poor people poor. So what poor people gotta do, poor people gotta stand up, get their grind on, get gangsta. Because whether you’re in the streets or you’re in a corporate office, gangstas make the world go round. Ballers make the world go round”
The Queensbridge emcee enlisted the help of young crooner, Chris Brown and California rapper The Game to tell this story.
“CB is young money, young fresh,” he said. “My man Game is the west coast, you got me on the east. It’s a good collaboration right there.”
Nas particularly enjoyed working with The Game on the Cool and Dre produced track and he said he looks forward to doing more work with him in the future.
“Game is a good guy,” Nas explained. “He’s all about the art. He’s all about writing. Every time you see him he’s fun. Dude will make you crack up laughing just telling you street stories and just telling you about his day. It’s easy to work with him because he loves what he does and he’s somebody that makes me feel like I gotta keep writing.”
Nas describes “Make the World Go Round” as a fly radio ready single but he is quick to remind listeners that there’s more to his new album than just fly tracks.
“When you buy the whole album you go from fly to dark to introspective to everything,” he said. “You go all the way through it with me man. You might agree with me on some songs, you might not but I’m just giving you what I’m feeling.
The video for “Make the World Go Round” was shot earlier this month in Los Angeles, California. Director Chris Robinson is currently putting the finishing touches on it and Nas expects it to enter rotation as early as next week.
Nas’ self-titled album is in stores now.
Game Issues Statement On Barker/DJ AM Tragedy
September 21, 2008
Los Angeles, California Hip-Hop recording artist The Game issued a statement exclusively to AllHipHop.com earlier today regarding the tragic Friday night plane crash that critically injured former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM.
“I am deeply hurt by this tragedy. Travis Barker has always been there for me when I needed him creatively. We’ve done many songs together,” The Game told AllHipHop.com. “Just recently he appeared in my video (Dope Boyz) that he featured on. I respect and love him, my prayers are with him and his family in this difficult time for his speedy & complete recovery.”
Barker has a long history of working with Hip-Hop artists, and has worked on Hip-Hop related projects himself, acting as drummer for a Hip-Hop inspired punk band, Transplant, whose second release Haunted Cities was screwed and chopped by Paul Wall.
He later formed a band called Expensive Taste with Paul Wall. Barker recently remixed the monster hit “Crank That” by artist Soulja Boy to critical acclaim, and another recent smash with Flo Rida’s “Low,” which was featured on hit video game Guitar Hero.
Barker is currently in critical condition in an Augusta, GA burn unit with fellow crash survivor DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein.
Four people died in the crash.
They have been identified as pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, CA, and Charles Still, 25 of Los Angeles.
